Fake it until you make it is very true with Instagram. I know someone who has been trying to make it as an influencer for years. She quit a normal, low paying desk job. Her first attempt was basically MLM for hair products and other shit. She's now moved it onto van living and home schooling. She mixes in different recipes, DIY stuff, etc. To me, it's clear she's just trying to figure out what will stick and puts a lot of time into the social media. I'm sure she's made an income, but not enough to justify it. Pretty much all of her posts with the family shows them at a beach, river, or national park, but I know the time in between is quite different. Her kids and husband are really sacrificing on this hail mary that she'll make it.
