There's never been a boxing champ in MMA?

Please, Angulo just turned down, more money than Brock Lesnar makes per fight, 750,000 to fight Martinez and Povetkin turned down more money than an entire UFC PPV payout is to fight Wlad and he wasnt even the lionsshare.

Andre Berto is turning down big money in Turkey! I dont see that in MMA. "Hey Carwin, big dude from Turkey is being offered alot of money from Turkish government to fight you there for a couple hundred grand"

And that TUF show is getting old and tiring. They had to bring back Kimbo to bring back the interest of the show. Its the same thing every time.

Team vs Team... one team winning most of the matches... some members of one team have to go to the other team.. one of the team members cries... ambulance shows up in one episode... a fighter leaves because of a girl or doesnt have it in him... Dana asks them if they want to be a fighter for real... yawn.

How does that work when UFC fighters make more than 95% of pro boxers? You ever see the paydays for undercards on friday night fights?

Why compare the biggest MMA organization to Friday Night Fights? It's dumb. Compare the UFC to HBO's cards. Friday Night Fights is comparable to Strikeforce Challengers.

"Der der, ya kno Top Rank fighters make more than 95% percent of mma fighters? You ever seen the paydays for Bellator?"

Almost half of the UFC fighters (undercard) make slightly more or less than $5,000 a fight. Not a good generalization

Yeah but its ony one org. If they lose then its back to stage one alot of times. They get maybe 2 fights a year for 5 thousand. thats horrible.

In Boxing fighters have alot more options.

Exactly so u have a title contender fight making as much as urijah faber who makes ten times that on endorsements while bj flores is on zero commercials/ads.
So again mid level boxing guys make no more than mma guys with less oppurtunity for endorsements.

As to the above post those mid level boxers with a few losses will never see a big pay day ever, you know it, I know it, they know it. So your argument of having hopes of being a millionaire does not fly. They stay in boxing because they would make it out of the local shows unless they are marketable and get a free ride to a top org. Btw when is mercers next mma fight.

That's not to say Flores couldn't make more. He turned down fights with Tomacz Adamek, Enzo Maccarinelli, Wayne Braithwaite, Ola Afolabi, and Matt Godfrey that would have led to him getting paid if he were up to the competition. Instead, he made horrible business choices like fighting without a promoter and squanders momentum he gains from beating guys like Darnell Wilson by fighting journeymen rather than contenders. The fight against Hernandez is a step in the right direction but he'll need to continue to step up if he wants to prove his worth as a fighter.

Is everyone totally ignorant of Yosuke Nishijima?

Yosuke Nishijima - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pro boxer who won the WBO NABO cruiserweight title, the OPBF cruiserweight title and the World Boxing Federation cruiserweight title. He entered MMA and went 0-5.
The WBO NABO cruiserweight title and the OPBF cruiserweight title are not world titles, they are in fact as worthless as a chocolate teapot and the WBF title is a made up title that came free in a cornflakes packet!
