You rent a damn water heater? How much do you pay per month? Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy it? Do you rent your furnace and AC unit? Can you rent all your appliances? Weird.

The rental is 11.95 a month

That's not a bad deal. It'll cost you over $900 to get a new tank installed around here, so depending on type and fuel apparently renting them is a good option.
Thanks pal I'm glad ya get me

Walk around in some revealing clothing around him and have your nuts or dick pop out while drinking some bubbly like they do in them pornos. Then get close to him while he is on the ground with yo dick in his face and have him make the move

But after like 6 1/4 years he'd own it if he just paid himself $12 a month. However I do like the idea that you just don't worry about break fix. But many heaters will come with AT LEAST a 6 year warranty if they are any good at all.

Yeah, 6 to 9 year warranty is standard. But having someone come out to inspect your tank and replace before things go sideways is of benefit. A couple bucks more for peace of mind, convenience and preventing water damage? Priceless! Not a bad hussle for everyone concerned I think.

The guy is replacing it for free with no change in the 11.35 a mos

I'm a cheap bastard and would probably try to do it myself.......and end up blowing myself up. So maybe $11.35 isn't a bad choice.

Talk about a cheap bastard. This was an ongoing conversation over a month or so-

-Last year a customer calls and asks for a quote to replace a hot water tank. I tell her my price but also direct her to a local high volume shop that specializes in stuff like that.

-She calls me back a week later. "My tank is still leaking. What's your best price?" The fuck?

Already said that the shop I told you about will do it for less than my cost on materials. Can't help you.

-Two weeks later - *ring* "it's still leaking and now causing damage to basement."

The fuck? Your basement is developed?

"Yes. The drywall and carpet are soaked."

Bloody moron of a woman. Maybe she was broke, so in her case $11/month would have been a great investment. Then again, I've seen people let problems go to the point of catastrophe because they were too cheap to spend a couple hundred in preventative maintenance.
