"There are more replies to view" Option

How come some threads have replies that are hidden now with the new layout?

And you have to click on it to make them view-able?

I don't like that; is there anyway to disable that?

It did that on the old layout, too.

Its been like that for awhile. Those are new replies since you've clicked into the thread. They were never hidden. They are new replies since you originally clicked into the thread which is the reason you couldn't see them. They didn't exist/weren't posted yet.

i've never noticed it with the old layout and wasn't sure how it was happening.
