Overhead Press

Worked up to a weight that felt moderately heavy and did it for 5 reps. Then did 5 more sets of 3 reps at that weight. Then did some sets of one-armed barbell press for 8-10 reps. No belt or wraps. Not a bad day for my first strict presses in a long time. Weather was beautiful and did my lifting outside.

Well, since it looks like I'm about to be banned, I'll just put it right out there:

1) I pretty much like everyone here. Even the people I don't like. Everyone has traits both good and bad (self included) that I enjoy interacting with. It's nice to have different perspectives on things.

2) It's unfortunate that the policies of sherdog do not align with my personal beliefs. Harassment, personal disputes, calling someone an asshole are all parts of my life that I don't plan to eliminate anytime soon. I exercise a great deal more restraint on sherdog than I would in real life because of the censorship that occurs here. I think the censorship leads to the formation of a lot bad blood because people won't just put it out in the open the way they really feel about someone because it violates the policies of the board.

3) The WC fiasco and Mittens getting banned was only the straw that broke the camels back. This has been building for a long time. As I said, the policies of sherdog are not likely to change anytime soon, so it was only a matter of time before this happened.

4) Most of us have found a new home where we are free to be ourselves. A lot of the people who will read this are all ready there, or have been invited. Personally, I'd be fine with seeing everyone on the new dog, just without the censorship. My log, the logs of others, the pub, the sherdog's strongest thread, and many others have not only been preserved, but enhanced.

5) Thanks to all for putting up with my bullshit for as long as you did. I promise to keep lifting and getting stronger for years to come.

When W1LD CH1LD (WC_ joined Sherdog, I was indifferent. I read her log because I suspected that there would be some laughs. I posted in her log on three occasions:

WC had been talking about having an e-crush on Lusst, so I suggested that Lusst post a picture of Henry(his umbilical hernia).
WC posted that she was upset about some guy helping her strip the weight from the bar she had been using. I replied that a guy had done the same for me just a few days earlier and said I had no idea that he was trying to hit on me.
WC had complained about having stomach pains and feeling sick in the morning. This led to the first great plugchop photochop of WC. I suggested that her stomach pains might be alleviated by taking her pills/supplements with food instead of on an empty stomach before bed.

I treated her the same as I would any other poster. I pointed out her logical errors for some laughs and provided useful information to assist her. I gave her no encouragement, nor did I talk badly about her.

Right from the get-go, WC was posting in the pub. She seemed a bit too outspoken for a newcomer, but I didn't see anything too far out of line. She did get in a tiff with Barut, but that seems to be a standard S&P right of passage. A few days into her posting somebody noticed that she appeared in one of eastNYgoon's (FED) YouTube videos. The pub consensus was that he was her boyfriend, but she appeared later on and insisted that he was just her friend. There were still rumors that she was just a troll account, either run by eastNYgoon or one of the S&P regulars. She decided to put he rumors to rest by posting a photo. This photo led to even more fawning over her in her log.

Around this time, I decided to look for WC on Facebook. I found her assertion that FED was not her boyfriend to be highly suspect. I knew her first name, where she lived (New Paltz, NY), and that she was in college. Since there is only one university in New Paltz, I didn't have much difficulty tracking down her profile. To my surprise, her Facebook profile wall was completely unlocked. I could scroll through her whole history of being on Facebook. While I was in the middle of this, fat_wilhelm, who had found her profile independently by using knowledge gained from FED having purchased St. W apparel to track them down, was making references to her profile in the pub. I asked him to delete his reference so I could finish mining her profile for data. He complied. I compiled a list of all the relevant data (see the following post) and PMd it to fat_wilhelm, Donut62, Lusst, Barut, bacon, and briangodsen.

Donut, Lusst, Barut, and BG found the info to be quite funny. fat_wilhelm remarked about my thoroughness. bacon said that I scare him. Barut was all for immediate disclosure. I didn't have any immediate plans to do anything with the data. I believed that the data could be archived for use at a later date when the laughs would be maximized. After talking with BG, I decided to wait and let the WC story unfold naturally.

A few nights later, I was in the pub after getting home from the gym. Cratos was complaining about WC and how she was changing the dynamic of the S&P. I posted that I didn't think it was such a big deal, but if more people felt the same way, I might think about getting rid of her. Immediately, WC posted and told me not to ever talk to her or about her again. I informed her that I would do whatever the fuck I wanted in the pub. Then FED entered the fray. He called me a pussy. WC said I was ridiculous. At this point, I couldn't resist posting the videos I had found of FED in WC's facebook profile. I replied with "THIS is ridiculous:" and linked the two videos (1 2). FED proceeded to threaten to "shove his dick down my throat and make me his girlfriend." I asked him if that's how he did it with WC. He made a few more posts where he acted tough. I replied a few more times by posting pics of him where he looked like a weak little fool.

Somewhere along the line, WC appears to have sent a PM to Lusst asking him to delete PMs that she had sent out because she didn't want news of them to get back to FED. Lusst told Barut about this and Barut decided to do a second check of the photobucket account that she had used to post her "not a troll" pics. Low and behold, there were semi-nude pics in there! Barut informed me of the pics and I salvaged what was left before she deleted everything.

The next morning, the pubbers were hungry for more details. I decided that the flood gates had been opened and decided to explain the situation. WC logged on and said I was trying to sabotage her. I asked what exactly it was that I was sabotaging: her attempts to acquire internet admirers? I replied to her posts and started adding photos from her facebook account (not the semi-nudes) to all of my replies. I stated that anyone who came into the S&P and started lying to get more attention (whether it be through posting fake lifting stats or claiming that you are female who likes sex and doesn't have a boyfriend) would get flamed and harassed and that WC should not get a free pass because she has a vagina.

Then Urban showed up. He made a post full of righteous indignation, locked the thread, hid the thread, and banned me. Since he is too much of a pussy to ban me outright, he decided to have a moderator debate about my ban so he could get support from mods outside of the S&P.

In the aftermath, I decided to create this new forum. It is free from dried up alcoholic mods, British wanker mods, and virgin mods. I suspect that very little (if any) moderation will happen around here, as I am not your mother and I purposefully have left out people who I believe would not fit in around here.

Third, I will have an airing of grievances:

I'm going to start by directly addressing some of what has been posted in this thread. When someone, especially a mod, says, "I'm not here to debate with anyone. This not a court of law. It is not a democracy." It really rubs me the wrong way. I know this is sherdog. I know Jeff Sherwood would just like to make some bank, and the peons of S&P can go fuck themselves, but by God, I live in America. I have earned the right to say what I think without censorship, and if you're going to take that away from me, then I see no point in being here any longer. Just by posting a history of events I'm probably breaking 8-10 different rules. I'm not doing this because I want to get banned, or because I hate sherdog. I've spent a year and a half here making friends and sharing information. I would love for that to continue, but without people telling me what I can and can't talk about. Since the heavy moderation here isn't likely to end anytime soon, I don't see that happening.

Finally, I'd like to address some comments by a few people personally. I'll start with post #1 by Urban. Urban, you are not some knight in shining armor here. WC was PMing other people seminoods of herself behind her boyfriend's back and then asking mods to try and cover it up. I don't feel sorry for her one bit. Mittens said it best: "There are plenty of places to talk about lifting. The S&P had a different atmosphere where we didn't put up with bullshit. We harassed people who were idiots or who stepped out of line mercilessly". That. Is. Life. That is exactly the same way I would handle a situation like that in real life. If some guy is big into curls, I am going to harass them about it. If some girl is cheating on her boyfriend, I am going to harass them about it.
Next up is Ascendant. Buddy, you have your head so far up your ass its unbelievable. I don't give a fuck if you piss on girls and are juiced to the gills, but when you act like you're somehow more morally responsible than others, it makes my head spin. What kind of asshole shows up to a drug tested show of strength and asks their friend to piss in a cup for them? You are a big fish in a small pond, and it gives your ego a boner to hang out in a place like this. I really hope that at some point, you're able to drop the facade, because you have a lot of potential.
Finally, to everyone else who somehow holds Mittens in contempt, take a hard look in the mirror. A lot of you were enablers to this whole thing. You tried to tow the line, and when shit got real, you were quick to point the finger. Oblivion, you were the one who thought he 'cracked the case' when you found those youtube videos of her and concluded that she had a boyfriend. You were all over this drama from the beginning, and you fed into this whole mess. Fatty, Mittens said you were the one who originally tracked her real name down. You didn't pull the trigger, but you know Mittens.
I'm betting this post gets deleted, edited, or that I get outright banned, but that's the point. It's a test. If people here can't handle the truth, then this isn't the place for me. Good night, and God bless.
