name a worse year lol. I can't recall one. its bad. real bad.
I'm one of maybe a few thousand people that has watched every single pay-per-view in the entire history of the company and even I'm like yeah this is easily one of the top five worst yearsPretty poor first half of the year. Not to be hyperbolic but probably the worst since I started watching. Almost nothing memorable and a lot of throwaway cards.
More like a few hundred, I’d guess. You’re a rare birdI'm one of maybe a few thousand people that has watched every single pay-per-view in the entire history of the company and even I'm like yeah this is easily one of the top five worst years![]()
It's June ya lunaticThe UFC has listed all their main events on cards going all the way through October.
With the holidays and the heavy gaps in scheduling during many weeks of no events, how would you describe the UFC this year?
We have November & December left, and hardly anyone is fighting.
December is a very short month for UFC events. 1 or 2 cards maximum is typically scheduled in DECEMBER
Just chill bro the year is "only" half over so its fine that its on pace to be the worst year ever! We're only in June... what do you mean the year is almost over?
Just halfway bro. Chill lol
+ shit like UFC allowing Jones to be the HW champ for 12 years fighting twice while the interim champ defends the belt is what puts me off as well. I've been in the game for a long time and I know how scummy and pathetic UFC can be but this is a reaching new levels even for them. It's been an absolutely atrocious year...or I'm just getting older and losing interest. Many of the fight night cards have been so bad that I've skipped them altogether, or I just went back afterwards and watched the 1 or 2 fights that were mildly interesting.
Either way, the overall interest in the sport has seemingly waned quite a bit. From the lack real stars, to the lack of big fights, to the consistently weak cards, it seems like an apathy has fallen over the sport. Hell, even Dana appears to have checked out.
The only real memorable moment this year was Alex losing to Ankalaev. Aside from that, the only newsworthy happenings were champions vacating their belts (Ilia and Islam), the Jones-Aspinall nonsense, and Dana being M.I.A.
I agree it feels like an inconsequential stretch right now , nothing happened this yearBeen an unremarkable year, and that's being kind.
Best thing so far to happen in 2025 was Belal losing the strap.
