Crocop did of course also have a quick win over Randleman in the rematch and that's the nature of Randleman, capable of upsets but also of losing quickly.

Its just not a good matchup for him IMHO, especially in 2006 when he'd become even more of a countering anti grappling fighter, Crocop's great strength was always that he hardly ever gave anyone openings to counter him and I think Chuck would get worked via mid and highkicks waiting.

Liddell excelled at sprawl and brawl, he owned grapplers pretty hard. Legit strikers always have him some trouble.

Mirko was just about the best striker around at the time, and was bigger, stronger and even faster. He would have used range, speed and power to blast Liddell from outside of his reach. Forget the LHK, it's the straight left that would have gotten the work done here. Go take a look at the second Cro-Cop vs Wanderlei fight to get a good mental picture of how this would have gone.
