Until conspiracies, even though I hate what"s going on against China, if NATO doesn"t do anything against Russia in Eastern Europe... The East will once again be lost! The West is underrating too much the world in Russia. Not very different than Iran. Because they have internet, but everything else in Russian is controlled.

And Hungary is different, because of the people, but in a matter of no choice in a war, they entirely would choose Russia for regaining parts of the empire. My country does not promote a non-peace and unfriendly policy, against autonomous Ukraine, Serbia and Bulgaria for example. Reasons could be found, objective or subjective, if we want.

Russia "restored order" in Ukraine, but in fact violated treaties and annexed part of another territory (Ukraine).

So yeah, I think the worst is in Eastern Europe now. Worst of the last decades. Something very fishy happens when Putin keeps talking about a different history of WW2.

There's a good reason for Hungary siding with Ze Germans even if the manner of their participation and outcome is indefensible. And that reason was to try to repatriate the one third of ethnic Magyars who were rendered foreigners in a foreign land after the Treaty of Trianon.

No arguments from me. Russia is way down the list of global threats. I know people will mention Crimea, but those same people neglect to say it was a part of Russia until the 1940s with a mostly Russian population. Yeah, it's wrong, but there's levels to wrongness.

They have very little overall economic pull and that's exacerbated by how geopolitically isolated they are, but their aerospace and energy industries are both at the forefront of the world. They're a formidable player primarily for those reasons and Russia still does aerospace (including nukes) at a higher level than the CCP.

Don't excuse the U.S. government of it's crimes. While we aren't nearly as terrible as those two regimes (particularly when it comes to our own people), we have done our own share of spreading chaos in the world and killing Innocents.

Don't excuse the U.S. government of it's crimes. While we aren't nearly as terrible as those two regimes (particularly when it comes to our own people), we have done our own share of spreading chaos in the world and killing Innocents.

You deserve credit for pointing this out because it's rarely done when people - often rightly - are excoriating the actions of the US government. It's kind of weak to compare how a country operates domestically and treats its own citizens to that of another's foreign policy. It just isn't like-for-like.

I can't say I hope it happens, but I increasingly get the sense were going to see China start flexing its muscle on non-PRC citizens in the near future as it continues accumulating geopolitical power. When left to its own devices where the treatment of other countries and populations are concerned, I doubt the picture looks pretty.

Yeah, it's sick. The US itself doesn't exactly have the greatest track record with minority subgroups of its own citizenry. There's levels though and it's been decent for a few decades I guess, but that's another story and conversation.

We have, but look at the other options. Communism killed millions. The US is def flawed, but at least it was going for the betterment of humanity, while communism is a black hole of death.
