special kind of stupid going on there.

I had a feeling it was going to be him when I saw the thread title.
He filled in on that site with PBP last night.
 
they were really close rounds, its not that surprising
 
He doesn't pay attention to detail at all. He doesn't describe a single strike until round 4. He makes no mention of Wonderboy's striking advantage. Isn't it a pro wrestling site? Regardless, he shouldn't be scoring MMA

Edit: I read through a bit more of his write-ups. He generally just doesn't know what he's watching.
 
Really? I didn't think they were all that close. 48/47 I could see, but more likely 50/46. No way on earth did Rory win.

No that's not the problem here. There were 2 somewhat close rounds (both that Thompson still deserved) and one of them he actually gave to Thompson (round 4).


He gave rounds 1 and 2 to MacDonald where he was outstruck 14-5 and 21-7



Why is it so hard for some people to just score it 50-45, that's what it was. You have to really want Rory to win a round to give him one in this fight.

the first 3 rounds were the closest rounds, I couldnt blame anyone for picking either fighter. WB may have landed more but Rory was controlling the cage and was the one coming forward. that can sway judges sometimes

I watched a fight that was competitive in every round, even in the 5th where WB done most of his damage
 
I had money on Rory and that was a clear 50-45 fight. How the fuck can you give Rory any rounds when he was outstruck in all of them and his offense was non-existent?

a fighter can win a fight 50-45 and every round be competitive at the same time just so you know lol

Effective striking is the first criteria. If that's not close, and there's no grappling to speak of or no real advantage in the grappling, then the rest of the criteria doesn't even matter.


Thompson was easily the more effective striker in almost every, if not every round.

it was though, WB didnt dominate at any point in the fight. it was a tactical fight with WB doing enough in each round to win. but to say it wasnt competitive is just ridiculous
 
I had it both 50-45 and a competitive fight. Two not mutually exclusive
