What if the fight was in a ring, what if it was scored as a whole fight, what if it was out in the street behind buffalo wild wings. The rules are the rules and that is it! I just saw the thread of 2 different people saying if it was a street fight everyone would have got up saying Jones won and that mma should simulate a fight to the death. Ok so couple problems and this is with logic not emotions.

    1. It is a 10 9 must system with no rounds weighing more than the other
    2. Dominick Reyes trained for a 25 minute fight, not a fight to the death
This reminds me of people saying Khabib might not do as good if he was in a ring, well he trains for the cage, if he was in the ring he would be hitting people with open mat takedowns and everyone would say well if it was in a cage and guys could lean against it Khabib wouldn't do as good. The fighters train for a specific amount of time in a certain enviornment under certain rules under certain scoring criteria. How do you know Jones would win in a fight to the death when Reyes trained for a 25 minute fight?

Dude 48-47 Reyes clear as day

I had it 48-47 for Jon, in full observance of the 10 pt. must and the order of the scoring criteria.

I get scoring it the other way for Dom.

Just wanna politely disagree, but in a reasonable manner and not come off as obnoxious in your thread

Rule 3: If the fight goes to a decision the outcome of the fight gets decided by the 3 judges cageside apointed by the athletic commision.

Not by the media not by the fans not by the fighters not by dana not by sherdbro's
The judges regardless of who agrees.

ps: i had it 3-2 reyes with doubts about how the judges would score round 2.

I respectfully disagree with Jones 3 - 2, I thought Reyes clearly won round 2, but by no means is Jones winning 3 -2 unreasonable to accept.

Anyone who gave 4 rounds to Jones is an imbecile

I enjoy talking fights with other posters. Too often it devolves into unpleasantness

Most people are wrong and the actual ones trying to twist reality, see the news, Jones won.

I think Reyes should have won, you probably think same.
But that's It, our opinion does'nt count shit

Unrelated, random thought: "octagon control" needs to die

Official decision by idiot judges does not an actual win make. We all know who won 3 out of 5 rounds

Not really. Perception is everything. That's why Reyes is getting an immediate rematch.

Later rounds determine the fight. Round 5 is three times more valuable than Round 1.

In the same manner of your post, did you give him round 2 or 3?

    2. I was impressed how he immediately knew to seize rd. 2 back.

Now whether he did that effectively or not, depending who you ask, he definitely curtailed Doms momentum and did amazing slipping the punches before reclaiming the upper hand for the next 3 mins or so.

    Imo he won rd. 2
