looks like it could potentially be like the LHW division after Chuck lost but before Jones got the belt

Right now ww has a mix of contenders such as Rory, Woodley, Lawler, Lombard, Brown, DHK with Hendricks as a champ but not a dominant one

IMO i think this division is probably the toughest division right now

Yeah, there isn't a clear cut best fighter to me. I'm not sold on Hendricks, i think T-wood, Lawler, and Lombard can beat him.

I have a feeling that belt will be tossed around for a little while just like how LHW went from Chuck, Rampage, Forrest, Rashad, Machida and then Shogun within like 3 years

I wouldn't be surprised, all the WW contenders view Hendricks as a vulnerable champ.

I'd like to see the belt tossed around a bit.

It's been around GSP's waist for so long, now things are truly interesting

I see Lombard as the better fighter out of the current top 5.

Even though the UFC don't have him in the top 5. He's #7.

It's exciting having dominant champs get beaten because it opens up the playing field. Even though GSP retired.
Hendricks eeking out wins against Condit and Lawler does not look encouraging for his longevity.

I believe Hendricks is going to hold that belt for a while. If going toe to toe with GSP did not convince me , beating Lawler with torn bicep and fractured shin sure did. That being said, the division is exciting in terms of all the great fights that can take place between all these guys - Lombard, Woodley, Hendricks, Rory, Condit, Amagov, Lawler and may be even Matt Brown.

The division will remain exciting for years to come with these guys.

I miss GSP, but you're right, it's a dynamic playing field for the next bit.

Hendricks vs.

Lombard-- toughest match-up IMO, that strength advantage is gone for Johnny
Woodley-- easy imo, basically hendricks is a better version of woodley
Condit-- tough, but in first fight hendricks gassed and I think his cardio will/ has improved
Lawler-- good match-up for hendricks, won first fight with a few injuries
Rory-- ehh, Rory sort of a wild-card probably the most talented contendor but for some
reason I see hendricks beating his ass
Matt Brown-- tough ass nails but I think johnny's strength will serve him well

Remember, Hendricks hasn't been in game that long, his striking only getting better

I see Hendricks holding belt for awhile with some epic challengers/ title fights. WW div is awesome!

Lombard is a top 2 0r 3 WW for the first 3 minutes and 30 seconds. He then gasses down to a very good welter weight until the middle of the second round. By then he is only a good welter weight and depending on his opposition he either stays at good or turns into a mediocre one.

He rag dolled Shields all 3 rounds.

Yeah I wouldn't rate Lombard as top 2 or 3, his cardio is suspect.

I think DHK is the dark horse in the division. I truly believe he'll be champ at WW.
