I made it back from Carson Ca this weekend and the competition was great. I got to sit and talk to my hero Cash Bill, the senior purple belt master. I got to talk to ma y black belts and got to see my instructor and son compete. My son made it on the Gracie mag website, but it was a picture of the other guy getting his hand raised.
If any of you get a chance compete next year. It was like a mini Pan Ams
(ps. I won a gold in the absolute)

congrats! and huge congrats to my boy zach adamson for winning his featherweight purple belt division!!

Congrats man!

Must be awesome to compete in the same tourney as your son!

How did your instructor do?

I was under the impression Keith Owen didnt get to fight?

I did ok at the tournament, not as well as i would have liked.

He got to fight in the absolute. The guy in his weight dropped to master to go against Saulo. He lost but loved it and wants to do more.

Big props to my BJJ instuctor and all around cool guy Mark Vives for winning the brown belt munchkin division. Nice work to him and to those who competed, win or lose.

Congrats on your win! was that the absolute adult or masters or what?

How did keith do in his match? did ari compete?

The BJJ Revolution/Carlson team did great. Carlson's chicago school sent 5 people and 2 won gold and 3 won silver.

Edit: Forgot to say congrats to Boise on the win=)

Congrats! So modest too, winning the absolute is awesome.

I think the total time of both his absolute matches were under 2 minutes. "I was on a mission," he said. He barely broke a sweat. He completely dominated.

I, on the other hand, lost a semi-controversial first match. My coach thinks I won. I'll post the video soon so you can decide for yourself. It was close and I accept the defeat. Sometimes things don't go your way.

Boise can tell you what my elbow looks like. It's about the size of a baseball now. I was not able to train for the past 3 weeks. But, again, no excuses. I was prepared to win this tournament.

Boise, his son, his coach, and teammates are a bunch of great guys. It was a real pleasure to hang out and watch them compete.

Bills elbow looked like an alien head poking out. His match was great. I was yelling so hard I can't remember it all please post it
