Is it possible that unintended consequences of Conors smack talk is that it results in his opponents over train for the upcoming fight and/or train to emotionally. When Connors opponent spars with Conor mimic they unconsciously throw strikes at the sparring partner that otherwise they should not have done just because they want to hurt Conor so much?

Yeah man, I guess.

Nope, RDA/Adlo/Brazilians in general get injured before fights. That way they have this all lined up.

I wouldn't call that an unintended consequence.

Trash talkers always want their opponents to overtrain and come in burnt out, then fighting emotional and unintelligent during the fight. Many trash talkers have admitted this.

Plus Conor has even said that RDA was at a disadvantage because he'll have to remain cutting weight for months since he fought recently. I'm sure Conor loved the fact that RDA could potentially be drained.

But it seems like Conor is the main person who has to deal with so many opponents pulling out at the last minute.

RDA has never pulled out of a fight till now, people get injured sometimes.Don't just bunch everyone together, that's very ignorant. So now RDA has pulled out of as many fights in his career as Conor has.

This entire episode may have other unintended consequences. How many enemies is McGregor making? How many other fighters hate the guy or resent the guy for his special treatment? We already know that all the Brazilians from Aldo, to Wand, to Werdum, to RDA, etc. hate him for his disrespectful persona. Frankie and Cowboy sure as shit can't stand him. Sooner or later all this is going to come back and bite him and his fans right in the ass.

Not likely. Most fighters don't let emotion get to them while they are sparring. They more often let it get to them at press conferences or when they are actually fighting.

yes but it's not unintended, he tries to put stress on you. Like he says it's a whole different thing signing to fight him. However I expect Nate will be Nate.

The others got punked ahead of time.

Yeah, you're right about the overtraining I didn't think that through.

That's nothing new, you could say that about the drama that surrounds most of his past fights and all his future fights.

Our subconscious mind can be a bitch, you have no control over what it lets in.
