Conor at UFC 200 - say 1.5 million buys.

Short notice Cormier and Jones in at UFC 200 - say 1 million buys thanks to event number and promotion already bought and arranged.

UFC 201 had zero booked fights (Lawler rumor) and would probably not have anybody big. Instead Conor and Nate - again at least a million which more than double what Lawler would draw.

Cormie and Jones fight earlier than expected but otherwise the UFC takes no serious hit.

If you think they wont i dont know what to say to you

After his loss I don't think we see the same numbers Mcgregor drew as before.

Nobody is going to buy 200 just because it's 200. That number is simply a promise of big fights that, as of now, aren't on the card.

They'll have a hard time breaking a million without Conor or Ronda.

They will take a hit, because McGregor is the biggest draw, but it's not like it's gonna hurt Zuffa. As big as McGregor is, he's not enough to take down the company.

Conor McGregor
Conor McGregor
Conor McGregor
Conor McGregor

They won't lose as much money than if they had to pay Conor his outrageous requests.

UFC 200 without Conor and with Jones/DC would maybe make around 800k buys

Conor on ufc 200 i say 2m buys.

But i agree with you long term they dont lose anything they just put him on 201 and he does a 1m + ppv there. The only thing they lose out on is breaking ufc 100 record with ufc 200

I do agree with you here but the more conor fights you can jam into a calender year = better the profit margins, so if he was ready to go at 200 its kind a loss.

McGregor represents estimated $45 million boost to UFC 200

"UFC 196 broke the UFC record for live gate revenue, at $8.1 million. Face value prices for UFC 196, which began as McGregor-Rafael dos Anjos but eventually saw Diaz stepping in, started at $204 and topped out at $1,454. For comparison, ticket prices for UFC 195 (Condit-Lawler) were $104 to $804 -- and drew 3,500 fewer fans. The live gate difference between the two cards was $6 million.

White's philosophy, at least publicly, was that McGregor will fight again and the UFC will always have leverage over him when it doesn't get what it wants. In some sense, White was right. There isn't a competing place for McGregor to go that provides him with the audience that the UFC does.

On the other hand, it didn't recognize that the UFC had huge plans to celebrate not only its survival but its "thrival" with the 200th event. With McGregor back on the card, expect ticket prices to top that of 196 and expect attendance to be just as good. Assuming that, a live gate number of $10 million is achievable. Without McGregor, there's no way that much of a price jump can be justified, plus we'd expect to see empty seats. Difference to the live gate is then roughly $7 million. Throw in another $800,000 for additional merchandise royalties and concession revenue with more butts in the seats.

So we're up to $44.5 million in additional revenue with McGregor in.

For UFC 200, the organization is having a fan fest, charging $45, $65 and $75 for one-, two- and three-day tickets. If McGregor isn't fighting, figure the hang-around crowd for this is 10,000 fewer people. That's another half-million dollars, which pushes the McGregor bump-up to $45 million.

White knows he can't leave $45 million on the table, and the hype around the 200 number offers millions more that he won't be able to get back in the future. That's why it would be a shock if McGregor isn't put back on the card."

They actually will net more money with Connor off the card. This is a good financial move for Zuffa. Get the Conbots to pay for UFC 20X card that McGreedo headlines.

They wont lose money but they'll profit less if Conor's not on the card.

Okay Conor lovers are annoying, but this? This is just as annoying. Conor @200 was a lock in for the biggest turnout in UFC history. This is a massive hit, and if you don't think so, you're just not looking at things objectively.

But it doesn't matter to Zuffa. There's always another cash cow just around the corner.
