"I plan on being in New York in 2013 for the UFC's 20th anniversary," White said, following the UFC 155 post-fight press conference Saturday. "That's my goal."

White added that the goal is to "get in New York in November for the 20th anniversary at Madison Square Garden. MSG's behind us 100-percent - they want it bad." The brash boss even said a date has been reserved for the show, and a main event in the works, though he didn't release that information.

MMA is currently not legalized in the state of New York, though the UFC has worked hard over the past several years to change that.

What happened the last time Dana reserved a date at MSG?

OH yeah, it wasnt legalized so he had a UFC Conference there instead

Would be nice, but it seems like White is getting desperate here.

He's not alone. Stephen "Sambo Steve" Koepfer of the Coalition to Legalize Mixed Martial Arts in New York (which I'm a member of) feels positive about the chances of pro MMA in NY getting sanctioned in 2013. That's why the Coalition is sponsoring a MMA Referee and Judge Course in February 2013: http://www.nymmatraining.com
