The new breeds of fighters at lower weight classes bring new talented guys all the time.

In HW almost everyone at the top 10 has been there for years. WTF is Mir doing as a top 10 guy? And if irrc Big Nog was there before his loss to Werdum.

IMO (and can be wrong) the lack of new bright prospects help to mantain the old and past-prime guys in the top 10 that should be out if there was a bigger pool talent.

For example... if BJ where a LHW, he will be top 5-10.
 
What? The average American male is about 5'9" 195. Still not where it should be, but 220 would mean that 30-40% of people would have to be over 250 to make up for the people under.
