Perhaps one of the best ways to see how the UFC evolved is by comparing posters from yesteryears' to the current ones. Because we watch MMA constantly, we might not notice how the landscape of MMA is changing. It's not only about the presentation, but the whole "vibe" of MMA has changed.
I'm a fan of the new UFC as much as anyone, and am a big fan of many current generation fighters (McGOAT, Sage, Doo Ho Choi, Rory Mac, Erick Silva, etc.), I wish I'd seen more of the early days when it was about almost mythical hardasses duking it out, spilling blood in honor of the JBG. It's true that I can watch reruns of old fights, but it's not the same as witnessing them as they happened.
The UFC is dead.
Long Live the UFC.
