They have gotten away with ramped steroid use and corrupt business practices for years and made a killing doing it. Now that everyone is getting popped for roids, fighters are starting out realise they are getting raped when it comes to pay and they are being sued so the big profit margins have dried up they find some suckers to buy the company for 4 billion knowing the big money to be made in the sport is gone!

I like mma but as an entrepreneur I find what the former UFC owners just did as entertaining as any fight on have ever seen.

well they are mafia from out of galveston texas

Hard to disagree with that.

It's almost as if bringing in roided-up Brock was a giant troll move or a last-minute cash grab.

i think you're making too big a deal of the PED stuff - no one cares that much - the sport is growing and popular, diversified in many geographies etc - and there is growth potential - all this other stuff doesnt matter as much as people like to think -

from my experience, non hard cores dont care as much, they dont respect MMA as a sport, they just want to see crazy fights with big personalities - we'll get more of that, im sure

WME aren't suckers. They represent me as a screenwriter and have been fucking Bulldogs to negotiate on my behalf. The UFC is worth more than they paid, believe that. When WME bought the UFC, MMA became recognized as a mainstream sport. There will always be people who don't watch, but I suspect that number is going to dwindle in the coming years. This was a very good deal for the sport, fighters and for WME. You can believe that.

it's more about, if people continue to gets popped, they won't be able to fight for the ufc and make them money. imagine if connie gets popped? that would be huge and a pretty big blow to the ufc

what corrupt business practice?

That looks to be clearly the case! Hide you kids , hide your wives cause USDA's hunting everybody! At this rate there will be no sport.

Having Jones, and Lesnar pop within days before, and after the sale was announced is a trip, alright.

I have no idea if WME got fleeced, or did the fleecing. Only a lot of time will tell the winner of this deal. But, I'm assuming both sides are happy or there wouldn't have been a sale.

So I don't much care.

So you think everyone at WME-IMG and the other investors are stupid. When your in position to pay $4 bill for anything let us know.

Everysteroid is using a body

You got the gangster part right. I love how the ass kissers of the UFC brand desperately overlook the criminal and shady pasts of so many people involved in it's inception.<36><41>

No one really cares about fighters using peds but the sports biggest stars can't fight because of them and as a fan that is a big deal.

Only if the fertittas kept the rights to the hot dog brander did they totally get one over on this group. That is the corner stone to the entire company.

They paid 4 billion dollars for a company that was making money hand over fist for years. Those big margins are gone. fighters know they have been getting screwed are about to revolt they are getting sued and drug testing is putting the best fighters on the shelf.
