Watched the live BKFC event that streamed through YouTube last night and was impressed with the format. The UFC spends way too much time between fights with filler content, resulting in fight cards that drag on for hours. Especially before the main event, where they basically air a mini promo before the fighters enter the cage.

Who's with me? Who else is tired of 7-8 hr events, that could easily be wrapped up in 4 hrs?

I didn't watch the event. What did they do that was so impressive?

I think the ufc are promoting upcoming fights, painting narratives for fighters. I think their promotion is better than most but I never seen BKFC

Totally agree when it comes to prelims. I don’t give a shit about a 7-3 Bantamweight who was just on the Italian regional scene, and I definitely don’t need Promo clips before it

I think they have timetables to keep with their TV deals. So when fights end early they need to fill time.

It's very different for streamed events....

I gave up watching Wrestlemania because it lasts 6 hours. Longer than the fn Super Bowl.

to much fluff and filler aye. They are doing it better then dream tho, they had even longer events....

Dis BKFC have any sponsors last night? I don't remember any commercial breaks, even though it was free card. No commercials definitely saves time.

Fight night pacing is different from PPV pacing. PPV's are always slower. I'm finding the pacing on ESPN way better than when on FOX.

The UFC actually have advertisement, while you are seeing a promo for the main event during the prelims someone else is seeing a commercial in their country.

But I do agree that the events drag too long.

Filler time = Promotion for next events/fighters

That format isn’t changing anytime soon

I like long PPVs, it’s like an odyssey of violence that ends in the fight we’ve all been waiting for.

You deserve more likes because you are 100% correct. Watching an event live is unbearable, it takes waaaaay too much time.

The Corona Era has made me realize the important things in life. The UFC actually has some of the best production in pro sports, look at the content that the "big 4" provides...not even close. Hell, even F1 has better content than most pro sports. The UFC should cut 1/3 of the roster and pay their fighters more but perhaps that's for another day. I am not Dana White.

Yes I quite like the fast and furious nature of BKFC events. I watched most of it last night. Lots of stoppages, was entertaining.
