Why is Floyd risking a bigger payday vs a top UFC talent by fighting an unknown in Rizin? Does a fight with Khabib or a Conor rematch happen if Floyd loses in December?

The Jacare/Weidman stoppage was rough. Is there any type of punishment for refs when it seems like the fighters health isn't considered?

Why UFC won't make divisional tournaments to bring legitimate sport element and structure to MMA?

Who is the better MMA Grappler, Askren or Khabib? Who would win in MMA between the 2 at catch-weight 165 lbs?

Anything related to combat sports, really. This week it could be something about this Rizin mess (Floyd vs Nasukawa), or what is going to happen at some upcoming event/what happened at the last event, some big fight announcement or withdrawal, or any other current event to talk about this week. Also, general questions are good, like thoughts on the tournament structure of so and so, or weight cutting, or event pacing, and on and on.

Or we do occasionally take fun questions, but we save those for after the serious discussion has run its course. For instance, a topic that might normally end up in the wasteland on here, Ant or the guys on The Trenches that week, could take it - something like MMA fighters as X-Men/Comic Book characters. As long as it has some relation to the fight world, it's open season.

Askren expressed that he wants to fight colby after robbie. Assume he runs through old man robbie, would Colby's wrestling and stamina be enough to negate Askrens entire game plan?

Floyd vs Tenshin will almost certainly be a boxing match. I think it would be interesting if they used MMA gloves and round format. What kind of chance would Tenshin have if that were the case?

The UFC's ESPN deal continues screwing North American consumers by putting content behind numerous paywalls and still charging for pay per views. Is anything good about it for viewers?

Sup Ant, Danny here. Did you see Adesanya stop all them takedowns from Brunson all while dicing him up the whole fight!? Alot of people say he has no punching power, do you believe this? Cus I see him dropping people left and right when he fights. Also, do you think he can become MW champ or do you think he'll find difficulty at the top of the tier?

Is Europe excluding russia lacking on the grappling scene. Is this why american fighter dominate in the UFC. Or is there other plausible reasons.

Hello Walking Ant and Burrowing Jason!

What do you make about all this talk of the UFC ditching the Flyweight division? It would mean we never get to see Deiveson "Mini Yoel" Figueiredo smash Cejudo for the title! Also, is it something you could see happen to other divisions as well, or do you think that the UFC will move in the other direction and instead open up new divisions (ex: 165?)

EDIT: I posted this a mere few hours before the official news broke, but the general question remains, will we see New divisions or will more be removed?

What will be the Fallout of the Flyweight dissolution? Who stands to gain? How will Bantamweight turn out? Will Deiveson Figueiredo still smash? Can other organizations capitalize?

Thoughts on the news that Russian MMA organizations are merging into one Mega-Org!?

    ACB + Akhmat + Fight Night + Tech-Krep

Prodigious talent. A huge market-space. And dat sweet oligarch/dictator blood-money. Could we see someone overtake Bellator's positions as Nr 2 in the world?
