Losing to the Reem, a guy who most people thought JDS would smash for so many years, caused a lot of people to jump off the JDS wagon. He showed that he still needs to be respected, his hands are the best in the heavyweight division and his ringcraft has improved. We all know how much abuse he can endure and he'd have a good size advantage over Rumble. Rumble detonates entire planets with his punches though so anything could happen.

Within the same weight class, the UFC will not place two top contenders against each other from a different weight class. And besides, Rumble is not free to fight and he is recuperating from surgery on his mouth. Dana said thats why he didnt take the Bones fight.
