The Tesla 'Model 3' is the cheapest electric car that's American made $35,000

I'm glad the Model 3 has been a great seller for Tesla. I see them being driven everywhere around where I live. Of late I've been seeing Tesla 3s in different colors than offered from the factory. I figure people are either having them painted, or possibly wrapped.
 
I'd love one. Tesla village is only 20 minutes from me and I get free charging so no fuel costs at all.
 
The cheapest electric car overall is the Mini Cooper SE which is $29900 but it's only a 2 door.

The cheapest 4 door is the Nissan leaf which is $31,600
 


I definitely want to get one.
What does Tesla do with the batteries once they die?
