The strike that ended Cain Velasquez's career

This is what caused his original shoulder injury. He said he got the injury during the Brock Lesnar fight. [1]

After the fight, he had surgery on the shoulder and has since had 3 injuries to that same shoulder.

I guess one strike can really change your career.

Fight should be overturned as a TKO win for Bork

I literally did not read one word in that link that said that little push of Brock's foot did anything.

There is no hint of any injury immediately after the push. I think you're taking artistic license here. To me it's more likely he was injured swinging, or some other way. Because Cain does not identify how he got injured. Not in that article.

Dear Cain,

Just go to Japan, pump your body full of all the Indonesian steroids you can find, make millions and retire.

Any other fighter want to hire me as their manager?

Didn't he state in an interview it occured when he stopped the takedown?

Usually people either try to retain guard or just turtle.

I've never seen someone invert themselves against the cage.

I think he was expecting Cain to try and establish top position, at which point he was going to try and explode off the fence and flip Cain to the bottom. That whole fight really showed Brock's inexperience.

Could it be this? Basically willingly gave his shoulder to stop the takedown.
