Jack also discusses palm strikes.
Personal note (by MZ): One of the lessons I took from watching the first few UFCs, back in the day when it was without gloves and without wrappings, was how easily even high degree black belts in striking arts broke their hands punching skulls. As I was already training a martial art that believed in palm strikes, I embraced palm-striking as a preferred technique because of this. When I later trained in boxing, I found that even wearing gloves, and with wrists and knuckles wrapped, I was less comfortable punching a heavy bag with full force than using a full force palm strike.
