The State of UK Politics

As an Australian with a British mother and somewhat informed on the state of UK politics I’d have to say Jacob Rees-Mogg. He would give the UK a chance to be great again. I don’t trust Johnson and Farage, as much as he is to be admired for everything he has achieved, simply has too many enemies so I’d go with Rees-Mogg (even though in actuality he’s probably almost as long a shot as Farage)

The problem now is that far too many politicians are simply not even trying to make Brexit work. There’s all this hand-wringing, crying and moaning. Give the keys to someone with the confidence and belief to drive the UK to success under Brexit. I guarantee you the British enemies both within and outside the UK are hoping like crazy that British independence totally fails so a half-arsed leader like May will give them what they want.

Of the likely, I’d pick Johnson.

Rees-Mogg is seen as too posh, too elite, to ever work as PM. He looks exactly like what working class British people think of when they think of Tories.

his pro palestinian stance and pro IRA leanings are political no no's in the UK, but he really blew it by fucking dianne abbot imo

Mogg who is putting all his assets into Ireland? Yeah great choice. He’s a cunt of the highest order and doesn’t give a fuck about the working classes.

Sort of sounds like how people were talking about Trump

My prediction:

1. The UK will exit the EU, but it will be just for show and we will still be in the EU, we will exit in name only.

2. The UK will hold another election. By this point, the conservative party will split and UKIP will gain in popularity and become a true conservative party.

3. Due to the conservative parties voter base being split, the Labour party will win the next election and Corbyn will become PM.

4. I think Corbyn's anti-Jew, anti-multinationals front is just a front, he is a far left socialist and he will implement policies that will push the UK into disaster.

5. The country will go to shit real quick, the welfare state may break ... there may even be a civil war after a few decades.

Thats quite a climb down from your position of 2 years ago. Has reality started to dawn and you've realised it won't be that easy and you wont get everything anything you want ?

1. We will negotiate a special deal. Access to single market and no free movement. The EU needs us more than we need them. I would rather choose a hard Brexit regardless, I would hope that the EU would suffer so much that it forces other members to leave to.

2. Bollocks 5 years. The USSR ended over night. People claiming 5 years are dragging their heels.

3 again, people quoting 20 years are full of shit.

4. We will have borders.

5. The U.K. as a whole voted leave, deal with it.. The Scots can have their independence referendum again. I hope they leave the UK, too.

I don’t know much about it. Sounds like he’s not breaking any laws and just trying to make money.

Exactly you dont know much about. He wanted Brexit but is going out of his way not to suffer from it. He’s a cunt.

Iwho (if anyone) do you see as a credible Prime Minister at the moment

I find the whole situation depressing. In so many social ways Corbyn seems like he'd do well. ATM though he's stuck in this Zionist quagmire, and it just feels like he's so conflicted with himself that he's kind of signing a blank Brexit cheque, so to speak. As a Brit living in Europe I'd at least like to see him firmly take a side (preferably as the opposition).

As for May, well, at any other time she'd be ousted already. For leaders among the Tories there's a future for Ruth Davidson – too soon ATM. All this recent news of Leave voters / returning UKIPers joining the Tories makes me feel that Rees-Mogg could be the one. For me he's repuslive, especially as he's strongly cashing in on Brexit. But I think he has a better chance than BoJo, and Gove's time has passed / he's too clearly seen as a shill.

My dream ATM is to see rag media crushed. I know, I know.....I don't have any problem with people who vote (how they vote), but the scum media, convincing so many to vote their prejudice / against their own interests, I can only dream about an end to that.

I don't know why people keeping say May has no plan, of course she does. Drag her feet and make the prospect of leave look so terrible that the people will eventually capitulate and be willing to go back to how things were before. Which is what we are going to end up, regardless of what any 'leave' deal may be called, it will be in name only. This was the plan from the moment the establishment realised it had all gone wrong and that the people had only gone and done it.

Do you really think Cameron, the Tories and everyone else in Westminster would have ever agreed to a referendum if they really thought that we would actually vote leave? Of course not. They though they were being clever, that they could make it look like they were giving the little people what they asked for, but when push come to shove and with the most of mass media and corporate/political establishment on their side, we would never actually vote leave. But they paid the price for their out of touch arrogance and it backfired, big time.

Brexit should have only been the beginning and next stop has to be ridding ourselves of pretty much 99% of people in Westminster. We need our own draining the swamp, which for me would involve taking people like Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn and throwing them from a helicopter.

I was in the UK recently, I can already see a rise in homeless people, degeneracy, Islam ... the UK is gonna have to get a whole lot worse before it gets better.

The EU, the welfare state, it's all unsustainable.

I would support a military coup of the UK at this point. The army should just overthrow the government and try them for treason against the people.

No not about someone’s private financials. That’s the politics of envy. Engage in that and keep floundering as a country.

It’s not just about his private financials it’s about businesses. As you said yourself you don’t know much about it but you just go with the lowest common denominator instead of reading up about it. But that’s not surprising as you mentioned Trump in this thread for no reason at all so that speaks volumes.
