when i compare to NHL or NBA or Tennis players soccer etc the guys in mma are tuckered out in the 2nd round, even when there standing up there is a big Endurance between mma and the sport of Boxing, any boxing match like Barrera VS Morales i couldnt tell the difference if it was the first round or the 10th im tellin you

why is there such a difference in stamina compared to someone like Mayweather and jones ?????

there is no reason for a professional athlete to be dead tired in the 2nd round

MMA is a lot more taxing because of the grappling aspect

That's nothing, those 50 km walkers go for 5 hours straight. That's 100 rounds with no breaks in between, and you can't tell the difference between the 1st and the 70th round.

different sports? combining grappling with striking is hard. It requires two different kind of muscle endurance. These also are men that are like 220 pounds.

There are a lot of troll threads around, might as well respond to one...

football ('soccer') is not that hard cardio wise.
wrestling, on the other hand, is brutal cardio wise.

    as for tennis... lol.

    this too
and might as well ask again: who is the bish in the av?

jones was grappling with the best grappler in mma, and ragdolled him in that 4th round... mayweather had great stamina at 135... but at 147 he is slowing down

Take and boxer or NBA player and have them wrestle DC for 25 minutes. I guarantee they will look a lot worse than Jones.

    Also total troll thread.

Anyone that has been in any kind of scuffle knows it drains the energy quicker. I'm no fighter but like anyone I got in a few fights when younger. It takes a lot more energy to fight than people realize. I always felt spent even if it only lasted 2 or 3 minutes. At the same time, any kind of track sport would probably destroy my stamina quickly. Sports are taxing, it just that the UFC is fighting which drains energy even more. That is probably why a guy like GSP did not take too many risks.

Should Mayweathers stamina not be judged agsinst a similar sized man, like Mighty Mouse? I think his stamina matches up better.
