The shortest UFC title reign ever

There's no shame in losing the belt if you're willing to put it on the line against deserving contenders. The same can't be said about putting the belt on hold for marketing purposes while you do something else or cherry picking tailor made opponents.

amen

He ain't retiring, he is fooling you. he signed 3 fight deal. UFC would never ever get him a title fight otherwise.

Seriously though, everyone should be thanking Joanna for saving us from an Esparza title reign and giving us entertaining WSW title fights. Could you imagine what a borefest the WSW division would have been if JJ didn't knock the skittles out of Carla's hair?

Gadelha would likely win that belt in the absense of JJ, and then defend it once in 2 years (because she's always injured or just vanished from the spotlight).

In all fairness.......

Conmans reign as FW champ should start the day he actually signs to fight at FW again.

So he may actually be the champ with the shortest reign.
This makes absolutely no sense.

In the perfect world, it will be Tyron Woodley, the worst UFC champion of all time.

Carla Esparza held a championship belt for 92 days.

Which I believe is the shortest amount of time anyone has had a belt.

Well the record is about to be broken!

Get ready Bisping, he's winning that belt and then immediately retiring!

Total reign ... maybe 2-3 minutes tops

Randy Couture was shorter.

Won the belt December 21st 1997, was stripped in January 98

The next holder Bas Rutten, won the belt May 7th, vacated in June

Both of those considerably shorter than Esparza

Palhares has held onto leglocks after the bell against several fighters, eye gouged shields, then held onto a kimura after the ref intervened, and people on here still love him.

Aoki is loved, and he's broken a fighter's arm then gave the fighter the finger immediately afterwards.

Wanderlei is loved and he's thrown plates at fighters, used the ropes to stomp undersized fighters into unconsciousness, and ran from a drug test.

Stop blaming nationalities, people love assholes....unless they're black. It's all about race, bro.

Lol at people loving any of those guys you listed.

Pre-UFC Wanderlei maybe but nope not even close.

Josh Barnett held that belts for couple of days before getting stripped.

If Hendo wins, I think Weidman cashes in his Money in the Bank briefcase and Hendo will hold the title for about 3 minutes.

This makes absolutely no sense.

If that makes no sense, then by your logic...if Dan Henderson beats Bisping and then retires.......then Dan Henderson will be the longest reigning champion ever.....since he won't fight again.
