First Teaser Trailer for Shark Attack Thriller THE SHALLOWS Starring Blake Lively (Mine!)

The-Shallows-Blake-Lively-031816b-Dragonlord.jpg

Ever since Steven Spielberg unleashed Jaws on audiences, numerous filmmakers have tried to recapture the thrill of that movie, with very few even coming close. But just in time for summer, Orphan, Non-Stop, and Run All Night director Jaume Collet-Serra and actress Blake Lively (mine!) are going to try to make you scared to get in the water.

Once boldly described as being in the vein of 127 Hours, Jaws, and Gravity, the movie has a simple premise. The Shallows opens on June 24th.Here's the official synopsis:

In the taut thriller The Shallows, Nancy (Blake Lively) is surfing alone on a secluded beach when she is attacked by a great white shark and stranded just a short distance from shore. Though she is only 200 yards from her survival, getting there proves the ultimate contest of wills. It’s Jaws for a new generation.

Comments: Love this kind of survival films. It's described as Jaws meets 127 Hours (love both films), count me in. Plus I get to stare at a half-naked Blake Lively for 2 hours. Win win.

The Shallows looks good, love films like that.

Would anyone here pay money to watch this?

A Jaws remake.

Blake Lively... oh the thing I would do to her...
intercourse

The other trailer looked decent. This looks shitty...

Will watch though. I love cheesy suspense thrillers.

I feel like they gave everything away in the trailer.

Will still watch, bc Blake Lively is hot.

Thing about a shark is he's got lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a doll's eye. When he comeatcha he doesn't seem to be living' till he bites you. Then those black eyes roll over white and then despite the pounding and the hollering and the screaming they just come in and...rip you to pieces.

For once a shark film should be made where the shark is hunted by humans....and at the end you see the fin rising above the water and as the camera pans out it's in a bowel of a soup.

Frankly, these movies just piss me off.

I've spent a lot of money looking for sharks (scuba diving).

I've been on "bull shark" dives & "hammerhead dives".

Number of bulls and/or hammerheads that I have seen:
  • 0

(nurse, black/white tip, galapagos, dusky = lots)

BOOOOOOO!!!

Yeah it would be a sadder ending than all the other shark films, but more realistic.

I think the best shark film I've seen (though it's not actually a shark film as such) was the USS Indianapolis film...and I've just seen a new film is being made about it, which looks like garbage judging by the trailer!

The only valuable thing Reynolds got out of Green Lantern was his future wife
