Or it could be that she's lost twice already..
Most would rather see a new challenger

Nobody would complain if Dana didn't said that Miesha was getting the next shot or if Holm would have blown Reneau or Pennington out of the water.

This shit kills me. Rumours of Tate/Rousey 3 circulate, and Sherdog is all "Fuck that bullshit. She got her ass kicked twice already. Who wants to see that again?"

Tate gets passed over, and Sherdog is all "This is bullshit! Tate deserves it way more than Holm. It must be because she insulted Reebok. Fuck you Dana!"

    This fuckin' place....

It is funny, when the Tate fight was announced, the hate for that matchup was strong. Now that it has been changed, the hate is equally strong. Now, if you want to criticize Dana for speaking before a decision had been made (or that he changed his mind) fine. But Tate has had two cracks, and while she was able to take Rousey into the third round in their second fight, Rousey was still in control of that fight. There was NO need for a third fight. Period.

Holm might not be ready, but given Ronda has hinted she isn't going to fight forever, she has said she wants kids, yada yada, I do think Ronda MAY have her exit strategy planned (and no, I'm not stating I have any knowledge, I don't, I'm just making an educated guess here) that she beats Holm, fights Cyborg at UFC 200 (assuming Cyborg can hit 135) and then Rousey retires. Which I think is what others have hinted at already. I do think Rousey has only a few fights left though...

I'm thinking she lost her shot because people showed interest in Rousey/Tate 3, so the UFC wants to get Holm in first. Now they have Rousey/Tate 3 on the backburner if they need it. Also the window on Rousey/Holm 2 could be closing soon, so they need to get the first fight out of the way.

Even if the new challenger has 0 top 10 wins and hasn't looked good in any of her fights in the UFC? If Ronda Rowdy is such a superstar then people will buy her PPV even if she's fighting Miesha again. At least with Miesha getting the title shot they keep some semblance of being a sport with meaningful ranking system and working your way to a title shot by facing other "top" fighters in your division.

It's pretty clear they are booking Ronda quickly against another easy opponent, so she can fight on the UFC 200 card against Tate or Cyborg.

Tate did not had two cracks at the title. Stop with that bull already. She had only one in the second fight. In the first fight Honda was the challenger.

You can say that has something to do with the overall depth of the division but you got to throw in new blood, you want Miesha/Ronda 6?

Actually, you completely mischaracterized the situation. Yes Rousey-Tate 3 was a silly matchup, but Dana White gave his word in public and in private to Tate that this would be the fight. Tate had already started training when Dana White decided to change the matchup. Don't know about you, but a lot of people put value on keeping one's word.

I agree, and will add this....

look at how much has gone into creating depths in the other female divisions. Why not this one? I almost feel as though Rousey has an exit strategy ready before the depth comes to her division. Her on top of the world is a promotors wet dream. Could you imagine seeing her lose and a strong division go up around a new champion? Im not taking away from her or her accomplishments. I used to be a huge fan of hers. There is just something fishy about her booking and division lately.

Conspiracy theories are fun, but I'm inclined to believe this.

Not to mention a big money fight possibility with Cyborg. Winner gets TS.

We obviously can't believe DFW guaranteeing anything, including Miesha's TS this time, or the next.
