The REAL problem with USADA. TLDR: Get RID of USADA. Also, I offer an armwrestling corollary.

I'll make this short and sweet.

USADA is archaic in terms of testing capabilities.

So much so that it has been rendered almost useless by designer dope, etc.

In the meantime, fighters will continue to cheat in large part because...they know they can probably get away with it!

Cheaters are ALWAYS going to cheat...unless they have a REAL reason not to.

And since an actual deterrent is just not there...

...GET RID OF USADA.

Look at AWL (Arm Wrestling League) in comparison.

Almost EVERYONE dopes...but the public is fine with it. The lax (or...non-existent) doping rules do NOT deter from the sport.

Bonus: Devon Larratt (the living legend and all around awesome guy) sparring with the phenom "SCHOOLBOY. (who is a BEAST and future champ)

My vote is that you schedule 1 drug test for the night of the fight, tell the fighters exactly what's being tested for.

That's enough to satisfy the general public that the ufc is "drug testing" but also allows the fighters to take virtually whatever they want.

The most level playing field is one where everyone is allowed to juice to their hearts content.

wait, they hit each other in the face in arm wrestling? I guess not, that’s probably why no ones gives a shit if they roid up

Well, let's totally ignore the effects of unregulated use of PEDs on the body then...

USADA is not perfect, but testing is the way to go.

The UFC is a wannabe WWE, which is another reason why archaic USADA sucks.

The UFC are the ones who brought in USADA in the first place. I believe there is some long game to this. Visibly, the UFC has much harder testing guidelines than any sports organization but the Olympics. I'm not gonna try and guess what the long play is but it is important for the public to perceive the UFC as tough on PEDs

I got into watching arm wrestling recently and I love schoolboy :) DUde is a beast and I agree with you about Devon.

It IS drug wars already...is it not?

Yes. Yes it is.
True but it's a slippery slope once you open the flood gates to the potential abuse of anabolics. Where's the ceiling to the limit? How will this effect the athlete's health long term? What's keeping the athletes from serious abuse? It's human nature "some is good more is better" It definitely deserves a conversation no doubt and don't get me wrong I loved pre USADA and Pride those were the best most entertaining times of MMA.

My all time fav

SCHOOLBOY is ascending by the day.

In regards to Devon, he is a true ambassador.

On a related note, when he lost to Todd, that was the refs fault. Props to Todd for cheating because...he got away with it:

Lastly, if you don't check out Devon's Youtube channel, I suggest checking it out. It's pretty cool.

Here he is going on a 50km hike with his 2 boys from a few days ago:

TLDR, but I did google the word corollary. I learned a new word, and for that, I thank you.

Very valid, but as it is...the fighters are being abused with paltry pay.

Ironically, it is the fighters with more money and resources who can dope it up professionally...

Feel me?

It is a Catch-22 of sorts for most fighters...

Easier solution.

Test + once and banned for life and fined total fight purse of which you aren't paid, so it has to come out of your own pocket from previous funds.
