We have no idea how Diego felt after that knee or the intentions of him asking the ref what would happen if he couldn’t continue.

To make assumptions and then fight strongly behind those ‘assumptions’ is the real Disgrace to these guys who are out there putting their quality of life at risk when they beat the shit out of eachother for our entertainment. Diego deserves the benefit of the doubt and it’s a shame that a lot of you don’t give him the true respect that he’s earned.

He knew full well what he was doing

there’s no ‘benefit of the doubt’
More applause for stealing his win bonus by any means

They beat the shit out of each other for money not for our entertainment, Diego "heart of a lion" Sanchez saw a chance to win more money and not continue to get his ass kickef so he took it, we fans have every right to voice our opinion on Diego's decision.

Shame to see these once legendary fighters become bums nobody cares about. This rarely happened in other sports.

He stole a win from a young prospect because he couldn't handle losing in front of his home crowd and knew it would be a DQ win for him. By the way, it was unintentional, Pereira legit thought it was a legal blow.

What if he had double vision and was really messed up from that knee?

You make a very good point that they do it for money and not purely for our entertainment. But after that you’re making assumptions and you do 100% have the right to voice your opinion I just think that it shouldn’t be so demeaning towards Diego as most have been.

The bad thing is that he asked if Periera would lose if he couldn't continue. They kept asking if he could continue and he basically was saying if he was going to get a loss he probably could but since he was going to win he said he couldn't

They apparently told him they couldn’t say if it was a win or no contest so we can’t really speculate if he did it for the win or not. I’ll have to watch it again.

We can speculate that. He's a vet and knows how that goes.

But I am one of the minorities whom thinks he made the right choice. He was getting destroyed. Bail collect the extra money and save your kid from seeing daddy get kod

Imagine jordan being booed in his hometown

For everyone complaining that he "pussed-out"- he ate an *illegal* knee that split his dome open, bled everywhere, and, you know, probably shook his fucking world. He had no reason to "continue like a warrior", other than to lose for his (and sherbros') pride. Like the fight earlier with Weaver, the guy got fucking rocked by a big illegal knee- if they would have let him continue, or if he would have chosen to, it would have been stupid. People are just hating on Diego because he was looking like shit and getting beaten up- you know, exactly when you *shouldn't* be bum-rushing someone and throwing illegal knees.

he said he couldn’t see from the blood. He knew what he was doing.
Diego wouldn’t have done that at any point in his previous career and he’s continued from significantly worse many times.

He didn't break the rules. The other guy did. I don't like Diego, but the other guy shouldn't be rewarded for a blatant foul.

Perhaps Michelle should focus on learning the rules of the sport and less time practicing queer dance moves.

That knee would concuss anyone. His adrenaline is pumping, but there's a reason he went to the hospital after & it wasn't from the other shots... Diego took home an extra $100k+. That was the right move. Anyone saying otherwise is being extremely close-minded. You're not even getting into the cage. There's a reason there's rules to human cock-fighting. It's so people don't die. This isn't a Koscheck missed head situation, Diego got smoked with a deep cut & a blow with the force a punch simply could not do. There's a reason it's illegal. Pereira should've been more careful. Was a senseless shot & he had the fight in the bag.

Why do you think that didn't happen? He's from New York not Chicago (or Washington).

All these threads are the same BS. The guy to blame was Pereira, if he didn't knee Sanchez in the head while he was down none of this happens and he wins the fight.
Where are all the threads about Brok Weaver winning by DQ 2 fights earlier?
