It should be, charge for a license but a state issued photo ID should be free of charge. I would be happy to pay a little extra in taxes each year if it meant people could get a free state issued ID.

I think the water rule is very silly “sticking to the letter of the law” that prevents anything from being given to voters by political actors. Or even what could be deemed as political actors.

maybe as a workaround every person that ask for a damn nice thermos style water bottle gets one from the government. And then they can take that with them
