This is an in-depth exploration of the personalities and right-wing think-tanks who are engaged in a concerted effort to push anti-Chinese propaganda through both their own outlets and mainstream news media, using the current pandemic to posture for the engagement of a new cold war with China. There seems to be an abundance of stories and opinions imparting blame and suspicion on China, often from unidentified sources and without convincing evidence to support. Its observable many here (if not even, perhaps a majority) are fully on-board with these sentiments; that is their prerogative, and this is not attempt to challenge those perspectives, but some may find it interesting to learn more about who's behind the emergence of these stories and their agenda. I found it incredibly insightful.

So your saying the Chinese communist isn't a oppressive totalitarian regime with a bloody genocidal history whose incompetence has led to a worldwide pandemic?

A regime who has actual concentration camps for religious Muslim minority in china.

How can you not be against the CCP?
 
I guess if Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity ran China then maybe the CCP would start to disgust the left? Eh?
 
The fact is that for too long western politicians and businesses have appeased China because it's lucrative in the short term.

Covid19 isn't the issue - China enslaves their population, ignores IP rights, uses immoral/illegal business practices, artificially deflates the value of it's currency and uses it's money across the west to further aims that go against our liberal democratic interests and everything that enlightened cultures stand for.

We should treat China as we did the USSR. They are our enemy and should not have any foothold in strategically important western industries or markets, and have pariah status internationally.

Exactly this virus is only the most obvious of the regimes crimes rather than it's worst .

Well said.china is just a higher more lucrative north Korea. it's clear China isn't playing by our rules, so they should be ejected from the game.china can enjoy trading with just Russia and Pakistan
 
China knew about this virus since at least November and actively kept it a secret from the world. They ordered labs to destroy samples and silenced scientists and medical proffesionals who tried to warn us about it. We now know that some of these people were even imprisoned.

But by January things had gotten too bad for them to continue weaving their web of lies, so along with the complicit WHO, had to admit there was a virus but still insisted that there was no human to human transmission and it was nothing to worry about.

Once the shit really started to hit the fan and the whole world could see for a fact that China was lying, both about the nature of the virus and their number of deaths, they then tried to shift the blame to America by putting out absurd propaganda claiming it was them who released the virus in China. They also said it was racist to put any blame on China and for icing on the cake, threatened to cut off medical supplies to the USA and the rest of the world to 'drown them in a sea of coronavirus' as an act of retaliation.

So in other words, fuck China.

China is definitely run by some fucked up people. They do some crazy shit. But everyone pushing the anti-china propaganda really better take some time to think it through deeply. If you’re fine with war, then keep pumping spreading the narrative. But if you are against war and intervening in other countries, you might want to stop, or at least draw some fine lines between criticizing them for things that affect other countries (pandemic handling for example) and things that are Chinese centric (being totalitarians.)
 
Why does it have to be war. Just deny them trade, access to our IP and kick out all their students

Who’s to say it will end there. A Cold War only is just one small escalation away from a violent conflict at any given time.
