The Overvalued Yuan question...

    The chinese government have been spending much of their foreign reserves to keep the yuan strong.

    I'm not understanding that in the past other nations have accused that the Chinese have kept the yuan artificially low to keep their export products cheap in the market, but this whole trend of the Chinese government not letting the yuan float in the market is not adding up with me.

    Someone with some economic background and insights help me.

    an increased attempt to get oil from OPEC producers to also be bought in Yuan.
