Could Izzy be evolving into an annoying taunting point fighter? The antics and taunting are only entertaining if it's not at the cost of an exciting fight or a finish otherwise fans feel like they are just watching you fool around instead of what they actually paid for. Silva walked a fine line and it lost him fans later in his career. Not that his fights were boring, but there were a lot of people that wanted to see him lose because of him acting like he wasn't taking his fights seriously. And his antics were at least a mind game for his opponents, Izzy just acts like a dick and thinks it's funny which will get him even more hate than Silva and more people wanting to see him lose if he keeps trying to get laughs during his fights without going for the finish or pushing the pace enough to create an opening for the finish.

and just to save you fan boi's from the embarrassment of acting like Izzy is a finishing machine:

Since 2018 izzy has had 7 fights go to Dec and 3 finishes.

He’s obviously a point fighter. That’s why I predicted he’d win by decision. They showed a graphic just before the fight started. And betting the fight would last over 4.5 rounds looked like free money to me.

He aint no pointfighter. He looks for finishes but simply isn't physical enough and powerful to put opponents away at will so it goes to the decision.

Ufc marketing has made alot of people over rate izzy. He is good, but hes not some epic finishing machine.
This

Honestly...Usman was given a lot of shit for being boring but he's obviously harder hitter than Israel and now with his evergrowing standup skills he is a force to be reckoned with

He has always been a “defense first” type fighter, but that doesn’t mean he can’t finish. He put away Whittaker and Costa, who both went the distance with Romero…

He’s like Lyoto Machida or Stephen Thompson. Very measured in his approach, but if there is an opportunity for a finish, he will try to capitalize on it.

Let's not pretend like Izzy's fights are comparable to the true stinkers given to us by Anderson Silva. Though Adesanya/Romero was almost as bad.

It was just as bad as a Silva stinker. The highs haven't been as high either, but people love to hate Izzy like they loved to hate Silva. These guys are utterly predictable and shit on fighters anytime they can for irrational reasons.

He's literally sprinting away from his opponents. Andy taunted guys who were afraid to even try to engage but Izzy is flat out running. Not a good look. Weak striking

Worst troll attempt i've seen in awhile on here. At least the TS used an actual statistic to paint a misleading narrative against Izzy.

but lol, so much wasted effort all around.

Stay salty guys.

Point fighter?!

<36>

It’s really sad how desperate haters are. Spreading blatant lies and revisionist history.

Adesanya has one of the most extensive and flashy KO highlight reels in all of combat sports. He literally became a viral sensation because of all of his numerous spectacular KOs.

He is also the leader in knock downs among active middleweights and he 1/2 of 2019’s Fight of the Year.

It's the truth. Fighters win the belt and turn into point fighters. Ya hate to see it.

Isn't he the only champion to fight twice this year?
Also he ahs the highest finish percentage in his fights out of all the champions I think...

The onus is on his opponents to take him out of his comfort zone. It's not his responsibility to meet his competition halfway to produce fireworks.

It's no coincidence that most of his opponents end up on the losing end of a tit for tat kickboxing bout, they find so little success that they kinda freeze in clutch moments.

You gotta fight him like Kelvin or Jan did

WTF a logical, rational and intelligent post on sherdog who hacked this account?

Imagine trying to devalue or say a champion isnt good when hes koed guys who werent before and winning 50-45...

Yeah guys hes clearly doing a shit job...

Lmfao...

Movement is part of fighting ...real fighting

Marvin lost cuz they came with the wrong gameplan and made zero adjustments all.fight..even going in to the forth and fifth round his coach was still asking for the takedown like it was gunna be automatic win or something when Izzy had been stopping or reversing it ... Bad strategy cost him the fight

he is just like his hero jon jones. boring point fighters that fight dirty and depend heavily on their reach

Israel couldn’t finish Brad Tavares who was KO’ed in minutes by Edmen Shahbazyan <45>
