Statistically speaking, it would help to increase the number of judges. With an increase (assuming a certain level of quality in the judges), the weight of a single judge would get increasingly reduced and increasingly unlikely to influence the cards. That might be the best thing to do in the short-term until enough judges can be properly trained up in MMA, or at least some of the base martial arts. Nothing really solves the problem of judges not knowing what they are looking at during a fight.
