"The old Vitor" is finally back

We long-time Vitor fans have been waiting for this for years! And several times in the past, he'd put on a good fight, and we'd think "he's back!" only to be disappointed in his next outing. Alas, it seemed as if Old Vitor was just a myth...like motivated BJ or Chuck with that look in his eye.

But now let's look at Vitor's last 4 years. First he damn near decapitated poor Matt Lindland in what is still one of the scariest ko's I've ever witnessed in my life. Next he tko's a former longtime champion in Rich Franklin. Next he receives the "kick hear round the world" right in the mouth from Anderson Silva. A crushing loss, but it's Anderson Silva. It's understandable. Then he tko's Akiyama and chokes Anthony Johnson...2 good wins. Next he loses to Jon Jones, but damn near broke Bones' arm, and had him in the most trouble he's been in to date.


Which moves us to 2013. A stellar year for Old Vitor believers. Bisping got head kick and punch tko'd, then poor Luke Rockhold receives a highlight reel spinning heel kick from The Phenom. 2 great wins, but is he done yet? Oh no! Vitor proceeds to head kick ko the formerly unstopped, durable as a fucking tank, legend of the sport and future Hall of Famer, Dan Henderson If you're a long time fan of the sport, you realize how big of a deal that is. NOBODY has EVER done that to Dan, and Vitor barely broke a fucking sweat!



All I'm sayin is....Old Vitor is NO MYTH. He is indeed BACK. And he has been missed.

Oh and PS: THIS version of Vitor (2013 Vitor) might be scarier and more violent than prime, Pride era Wand.

hes been kicking ass for the last couple years now short of fighting a 6'6" true heavyweight in Jones.

Vitor is top 5 p4p most dangerous fighters in the sport and has been for a long time.

Exactly my thoughts on this. Vitor fans seem to ignore his previous ordeal with PED's and ignore how significantly improved since TRT.

I remember back when he was first learning how to throw kicks. He did an interview when he was training karate before a fight, saying how it takes time to learn how to properly throw kicks in mma, and he was working on it. And I remember the first time I ever saw him throw a high kick. Can't remember who it was on, maybe Eastman? Can't remember. But I remember thinking it was weird seeing him applying new shit to his arsenal. Looks like he's got kicks down pat, now.

And yeah, THIS version of Belfort is probably scarier than the Old Vitor. Imagine you're a fighter, and you get matched up with this guy. That has to fuck with you. Even Chael said "Vitor is not a guy you wanna see standing across the cage from you."

And even though it'd be kinda cool, I hope to God they don't rematch him with Wand now. I just don't wanna see that happen to Wand. Unless they create a TRT Wand...then that would be interesting

Old Vitor was scary as fuck. I remember seeing him vs Tank back in like 97. I was thinking "oh this poor 19 year old kid. He's gonna get murdered." Then he beat the brakes off Tank. Was an instant fan. Then watching the telligman fight, the ferrozo fight, and especially the Wand fight...THAT Vitor was scary. But yeah...2013 Vitor is probably much, much worse. Dude is like a rabid fucking animal. A fury of fast-twitch muscle. I like it.

I'm really tired of the TRT talk about Belfort. Any mention of him and like within 2 post, someone says something about TRT. TRT did not make him knock out Dan or make to do a spin kick to knock out Rockhold.

I really feel bad for Belfort, his legacy will always be tarnished with this TRT junk.
