Yes, that's true. Perhaps he was ahead of his time and practically no-one understood his songs or/and had the guts to be seen listening to his stuff.I think he was actually a serviceable songwriter. The Beach Boys certainly thought so lol
Just a note ! It must be the English reacher in me, but "obscure" is defined also as "something of little importance" ; however, I don't think @Sir Elzio Dennick meant this to be the definition of obscure.
For me, obscure in music genres means "not mainstream, not popular, unknown "- it doesn't automatically translate into bad or mediocre![]()
