Interesting how much depth he went into with Herb Dean before the fight in relation to the legal areas of the head that he can hit. Even pretty much pointed out the exact area on his training partner that he ended up connecting with to finish Poirier.

It's almost as if he was planning on going after that spot which you wouldn't think when you watch the fight because it ended up being a bit messy/clumsy looking.

Poirier has a bad habit of ducking into punches so i'm sure the thought occurred to him. But after the fight he said he would have preferred a cleaner KO.
