I just want to re-visit Rockholds fight history now that it's been made clear he's not the god so many make him out to be. Now to be clear I do think that he is phenomenal on the ground and has excellent power, but his striking technique and mindset are sub par. He cannot compete on the feet with guys who are good strikers. And he stalls mentally

So here's a recap of Rockholds past "impressive" wins.

Bisping - wins by ko after rocking bisping with a headbutt

Machida - wins by stoppage after GnP due to a slip by machida. Also lands a powerful elbow to the back of machida neck in Rd 1.

Weidman - wins by tko after weidman gives him the TD with a sloppy spinning kick. Weidman also fought on a broken foot.

He has never managed to look impressive against a top guy without getting some form of advantage.

He mentally stalled against Vitor and again tonight against bisping and both times resulted in KO's for his opponent.

Also I have serious doubts about his chin now. Rockhold seems to be a glass cannon in my opinion.

I was worried the Rockhold factor would be in effect again tonight but bisping came in looking great. Is there anyone else that sees this it am I crazy?

Machida was hit with a punch he didn't slip.

I am not saying you are wrong, since its a matter of opinion, I just think you are jumping to conclusions a bit. I think Rockhold is one of the best strikers at range, where as Bisping rules at the mid range and he simply got the better of him. Usually every sudden loss is precedede by some mistake, some more obvious than others, Luke fucked up and Bisping took advantage, congrats England.

Rockhold looked brilliant besides this fight and Weidman.

He looked his worst against Weidman, and I will never know how he got so much hype from this fight and not from his other fights. Everyone just jump on who ever wins and don't care about how they look.

I tried to tell it. Both Weidman and Luke are NOT going to be long term titleholders. You have to have a couple major advantages over the rest of your division, and I just didn't see those traits from either of them. They are decently balanced fighters, but that isn't going to keep a belt in either of their hands.

It sucks that this overrated guy was able to beat another overrated guy (Weidman) and now this gatekeeper will always run his mouth about "I was a champion once". I hate Bisping, most overrated fighter ever.

yeah... an elbow to "the back of the neck"
atleast stop lying if you're trying to prove a point

Lucky for you I have fight pass and just realized watched it. Luke throws a punch that misses and then machida trips as they tangle up.

This breakdown of fighers wins to prove they are bad is really dumb.

I'm not saying he's bad at all just that his striking skills and mental resolve were not good enough to be a consistent belt holder. He can always fix those problems but they were pretty obvious tonight.
