Of course not including Whittaker - 9 fight win streak.

Then we have in order (last 4 results included)

Yoel L W L W (both loses to the champ and missed weight twice).

Rockhold L W L W ( injured)

Weidman W L L L (all loses by finish)

Gastelum W(SD) W L NC ( NC was a win but failed for a non performance enhancer which is worse than Roids in the UFCs eyes)

Brunson L W W L

Branch W L W L

Tavares W W W W (5th last fight was a loss to Whittaker)

Lyoto W W L L

Hall W L L L

18 wins out of 40 fights. Very unusual situation that appeals to my inner nerd.

Imo gastelum should be next. Tavares only one with a reasonable streak going but no top ten names on it.

This goes to show the depth of the division imo.

Its where power from the heavier weight classes meets the skill from the lower classes.

But Id rather we have this, because every matchup is intriguing at the top even the rematches.

its too bad.

the best MW in the world is on a 7 win streak (yes, 1 was close)

That's what happens when the best fighters fight each other.

Yeah Whittakers cleaned out the division.

Hopefully Israel, Tavares and Costa aren't ever matched up against each other, so they can all end up fighting Whittaker

But that's the thing, he hasn't fought heaps of them yet.

Great fights all over the place.

Gegard the best MW? Lol i think we all know Romero would take Moose down easily and eat him from there. Rockhold has the best g&p, Jacare would win again and Whittakers the best

You take Weidman’s injury leading to Bisping’s title shot, Hendo’s title shot, and GSP’s title shot ALL OUT, and the division would be completely different.

I think it goes to show the depth of the division, so good for us. You forgot Jacare btw, but it wouldn't change much cause he is at 50% (W-L-W-L).

I would think the W/L rate is similar to other weight classes, actually. What is unusual is the lack of a clear contender but we need to factor in also some shenaningans (Weidman/Moose, Gastelum's NC, Bisping's reign, etc.).

When they all fight eachother, 50% of the guys have to lose. Is normal.

If you don’t count Whittaker’s wins you shouldn’t count Romero’s two losses to him. Or Brunson’s for that matter. I don’t think your inner nerd was paying enough attention to get the stats right.
