Daniel "the golden boy" Zellhuber is probably the most underrated prospect in the ufc right now. He's 12-0 and is only 22 years old. He put on a very good performance against a pretty legit fighter Lucas almedia on DWCS. From what i have seen so far, he has amazing potential, very good technical striking, and is super physically gifted.

Here's his fight highlight against almeida in DWCS(timestamped)

Side note, he looks a little bit like Ryan Garcia.

Zellhuber is a very exciting fighter and a very interesting prospect, but his style means he will take a lot of damage. I hope he can tighten up defensively or his career will be relatively short.

He has good ideas on his defense. Like active head movements, feints, and reactive clinch to stop pressure/attacks. He just needs more refinement and experience.

Hope he can support himself off a pretenders series contract and train full time. I’m just worried these young prospects are getting lowballed and as soon ad they get injured or drop a fee bouts, they will bounce to something more stable.

I'm a fan, I had him at #4 in my Lightweight prospect rankings when he signed.

Who's the top 3?

At that point it was Christian Lee, Manoel Sousa and AAA, though I've since taken AAA off after I rejigged the way I did it as he's too experienced and isn't really a prospect, just someone who should be in the UFC anyway.

AAA? He's like 32 and look a little bit washed in his last fight.

Christian Lee is a decent choice, but I'm less high on him after his last fight.

That's why I took him off. I wouldn't say he looked washed, he just tends to fight to the level of his opponent sometimes. I think he'd be able to crack the rankings if he came to the UFC now.

My current top 3 is Lee, Manoel and Rebecki.

Honestly AAA was never that good. I know a lot of people who follow Russia regional are high on him but I never thought he's elite.

And no Tsarukyan, Ismagulov, Fiziev, Alvarez, Mckinney, or Mason Jones?

They're all in the UFC, the hype rankings are for people outside the UFC and Bellator.

To me it looks like let a much shorter fighter hit him a lot more than he should have. He looked robotic and slow. LW has some guys that can really crack. Best of luck to him, but I don't think he's going very far in the UFC without a lot of improvement.

Meh I wasn't that impressed. I think he's a solid prospect nonetheless.

An underrated prospect to me is Umar Nurmagomedov.
People think he's just "good" because of Khabib, but they don't realize he's a pretty different fighter and is ELITE at his own game.

Khamzat is underrated. He should be acknowledged as the goat, but people are all like “I want to see him against a top 5 blah blah..
