lol. You forgot Obama, and teh gheys On threads when a poster speaks about being in a dark place, he's always replying with stuff like "I hope for the best", "I'll pray for you" or something like that.
I love those kind of people. I aspire to be like that. I once dated a girl like that and I also had the feeling that she always would live an awesome life. Since I'm not on social media I can't keep in touch with her but one of my friends is friends with her on facebook and he says she is doing volunteer work all over the world. Showed me a picture and she still retained that glorious smile. I sometimes honestly think the reason I dated her was because I wanted learn how to be like her.
everybody seems to have an amazing life on social media. except those who love drama and oversharing their personal stuff
Used to have a guy who would come unclog drains at my work. He talked about his job as if he was curing cancer lol. Literally up to his elbows in sewage and he would be saying how he's only so good at what he does because his father taught him and stuff like that. Always thought that was cool
Interesting timing as the first person that would have come to mind regardless is my wife's "aunt" Connie Crothers who died Saturday morning. She was the most vibrant person I've ever met. She was a jazz musician like my wife's uncle Lennie Tristano. I put aunt in quotes because they never actually married but were together for over 20 years before uncle Lennie died in 78. She remained a member of the Tristano family and bore the torch of Lennie's legacy like no other. I never met him but Connie would always speak so passionately about his musical concepts and she taught classes at The Lincoln Jazz Preservation Hall in NYC based upon what Lennie taught her. (Lennie was inducted into the hall of fame last year.) This woman had a glow to her and was as hip and cool as they come and she could play the hell out of a piano. She loved my wife like a daughter and they shared a lot of the same qualities of just being the types of people that can light up a room with their personalities. I never heard her speak ill of anyone and she was just so upbeat that you felt a tremendous positive vibe just being around her. The outpouring of love on her Facebook page the past two days is a testament to the type of person she was. A lot of her students and fans are saying the same type of stuff about how she just glowed. Truly one of a kind. You can hear some of her music, teachings and interviews on YouTube if you're so inclined. And again, my wife has a lot of that positivity ingrained in her as well.
Ironically it seems people who spend a lot of time on social media end up feeling worse instead of better, since looking at all these other people having amazing lives makes them envious and depressed that they don't measure up.
