Why do you keep tuning in? What is the most exciting thing about MMA? The thing that when you tune in, you hope you see?

To me, I feel like, isn't it the huge upset? I mean a great fight is good, a KO is cool, a sub is fantastic, but only a few things make me jump out of my seat and scream out loud. And none of those few things triggers it as intensely as the huge upset.

I agree. Upsets rank at the top for me, even if I'm rooting for the favorite.

Upsets. Love seeing the casuals favorite fighters get wrecked.

I also love when an old timey, past his prime vet, beats an up-and-coming hype train. Of course, that too kind of falls under the big upset.

I also love the truly back and forth fight. I don't mean a good evenly matched fight where both are getting in good shots, I mean fighter A looks like he is about to lose, then fighter B looks like is done, then fighter A looks out on his feet, then fighter B and so on. Good example is Kongo and Barry.

I also lovvvveeee the huge comebacks.

@NHB7, you nailed it with each post.

I love mma, in general, but when it comes to specific types of moments that I wait for, it's upsets and vets getting those big wins. Nog/Schaub, Tito/Bader, Gomi/Griffin, Wand/Stannx etc.

Brutal KO's and slick submissions.......and Meisha Tates ass

You like two sweaty men wrestling in tiny pants don't you ?

I love how dynamic the sport is, how complex it can be, how anything can happen, how you can use multiple disciplines.

Throws, submissions, using every limb of the body to strike.

It's the same reason I love Prog Metal, there's so much to enjoy, it never gets old.

It's multi-dimensional.

Boxing is too limited, although I am a fan of Boxing, but it's not my number one sport and it never will be.

Another thing I like about MMA is how fresh it is, we're seeing the sport develop before our very eyes, something new is validated every year, it's still growing and I like being a part of that.

With Boxing, all the history has already happened. It was decades before my time.

MMA is something I idenfity with because it's young, like myself. It got started in my lifetime, it's the combat sport of the present and the future.

Boxing, Kickboxing, I love these sports, but I've come to realize MMA is my main sport.

The controversial moments that I can bitch about on Sherdog.

good fights, dominant champions/great fighters being really great --- spectacular knockouts, like Mirko, but I can appreciate dominant champions like GSP too.

For me personally, right now the most exciting thing in MMA is a Robbie Lawler fight. That's my favorite fighter right now --- and I haven't had a favorite fighter that was in their prime in many years, lol, so I'm holding on tight ;)

I like to watch a fight. Heck, I even watch fights on worldstarhiphop. It's the caveman in me.

Humble fighter humbling a big trash talker.

In ring trash talker getting KOd or submitted right after some arrogant, in ring tactics.

I've got to agree with you TS. Barao vs. Dillashaw 1 is one of my favorite fights ever for that very reason.

I was a boxing fan, but I happened to be flipping through the channels one day and caught Guida vs Huerta on Spike. Then I was hooked. But yeah, the back and forth battles are what I love about any combat sport.

i love never knowing which fighters will drop due to injury
