Brock's last official win was 2010 against Carwin.

His win over Hunt was overturned to a NC for failing a drug test and before that, he was TKO'ed by Overeem.

Yet despite all of that, he's getting a title shot.

How is this acceptable? I get that the UFC's job is to sell PPVs but as a sport that is regulated, they shouldn't be able to do things like this. They desperately need to be further regulated and fighters on the roster should be outraged when stuff like this happens.

As fun of a story DC/Brock is, I'd rather have anyone in the top 10 rankings get a shot over Brock.

DC's getting old and wants his payday before he turns 40.

I say give it to DC, one big money fight before retirement, that's all this is.

Because its entertaining and you will watch.

Titles become meaningless when title shots are gifted instead of earned.

Who cares. UFC is a mess this past few months. DC vs Brock may bring a little bit of hype back to MMA.

Yeah and then you have guys like assunacao who have been beating everyone and can't get on the main card because they don't do call outs and are professional

DC wants a payday and the majority of people would rather pay for Brock than volkov

This what the UFC is at this point. It's a fucking joke.

Might as well turn your brain off instead of trying to rationalize how title fights and matching-making are considered these days.

You'd rather see Dc vs Marcin Tybura lol ok

DC's earned a big pay day squash match like that to end his career.

How is this acceptable?

Because DC agreed to fight Brock for more money than he would make to get in a cage across from any other fighter somewhat near his weight aside from Jones, who can't pass a drug test.

That's all it is.

If you're actually wondering WHY - it's because the UFC is, no matter what we think matters from it, an inherently capitalistic entity with no real motive beyond its bottom line.

Nah man, you can’t say that cause Francis sure as fuck should feel lucky to be employed tomorrow. In this rare case I’d take Brock over him with 0 hesitation.

Yea i long for the old days when they used to fight tuf winners in title fights.

Jesus Brock was 2-1 when he got his first title shot. How is this any worse?

Its not acceptable, but neither is someone with a belt fighting someone for another belt in another division. This "sport" is a shitshow.

Conor and Ronda were one thing but this, giving a mediocre HW with no wins in 8 years a title shot, this is just absurd.

Who else deserves a title shot?

I can only think of Stipe rematch

But we are talking about WME here

For the old school boys: a 12-2 Frank Trigg got a title fight against a 37-4 Matt Hughes for finishing Dennis Hallman and Renato Verissimo

You should at least acknowledge and respect "history" if you're gonna invoke it
