He KO'd Soto. Something Cruz doesn't do to anyone. TJ is definitely not in goat conversations though. Neither is Cruz

It just seems like such a hard list to get into, even with Conor's two world titles and mind blowing finish over Aldo...it feels like he needs more for some reason.

I think what each men had was the fact that they seemed unbeatable for 5-10 years. With Ronda, she got ko'ed in her last fight, and Conor was just recently choked by Nate. Aldo also recently got ko'ed by Conor, but the finish didn't derail his legacy as he had already built up 10 years as an undefeated world champ. Mighty Mouse can do it, but his lack of name recognition opponents (not skill) is holding him back.

Right now, Cruz should be able to join that elite stable when he wins tomorrow. Hasn't lost since 07 and has beaten every relevant BW to fight (besides Barao). Also has a win over MM, which just makes his record much more stacked.

Who do you think can break into this table of 5 next?

Cruz is the only one on the precipice of joining that elite.

The rest are way off.

Honda needs to prove she isn't a one-dimensional flash in the pan, Conor needs to defend a belt against some varied challengers, and MM needs to move up in search of more good fighters to fight as beating dross in a piss-weak division can't make you a GOAT. His last performance was dire.

I think in 5 years from now Conor and Rumble will be considered GOATS. Conor is probably 2 fights away from that status.
 
Breaks the belt defense record. Goes up and avenges his last loss to become champ in a weight everyone is much bigger than him.

Undisputed GOAT.

Mighty Mouse will be one of the GOATs for Hardcore fans.

Hate Conor all you want but he is a 2 division champion and has made quick work of really good guys like Aldo and Alvarez.
If he manages to win some more big fights and maybe lose a few but without getting outclassed he should be remembered as one of the ATG. The guy had a big impact on the sport.
