The order in which people place the best fighters to ever come into the sport is highly debated. But no one can dispute that the list consists of 5

    - GSP
    - Silva
    - Aldo
    - Jones
    - Fedor

Who do you think will be the next to join this list? Current front runners are

    Cruz, Mighty Mouse, RR, Conor

It just seems like such a hard list to get into, even with Conor's two world titles and mind blowing finish over Aldo...it feels like he needs more for some reason.

I think what each men had was the fact that they seemed unbeatable for 5-10 years. With Ronda, she got ko'ed in her last fight, and Conor was just recently choked by Nate. Aldo also recently got ko'ed by Conor, but the finish didn't derail his legacy as he had already built up 10 years as an undefeated world champ. Mighty Mouse can do it, but his lack of name recognition opponents (not skill) is holding him back.

Right now, Cruz should be able to join that elite stable when he wins tomorrow. Hasn't lost since 07 and has beaten every relevant BW to fight (besides Barao). Also has a win over MM, which just makes his record much more stacked.

Who do you think can break into this table of 5 next?

Conor once he wins the WW belt from Woodley. Tree weight world champion. Will take Waldo spot after it happens.

Even though Conor never built up the undefeated streak they built, it'd be hard to deny him entry if he won 3 world titles. I don't know if he'd replace Aldo though. Would replace Cruz, but 10 years undefeated goes beyond the level of competition. It's being able to put away the distractions and pressure to always win for a decade.

Him vs Aldo in terms of GOAT would be highly debated though if he were to win 3.

Nah, even if TJ were to beat Cruz...he wouldn't get into that stable of 5. Those guys built 5+ years of dominance, TJ lost to Cruz and had his hands full with Joe Soto.

Dominick Cruz. Conor McGregor hasn't defended a title yet and had a ridiculous size advantage at featherweight. He looked like he was on the verge of death when he cut weight.

MM maybe, outside of him, until someone makes a real run in his own weight category in 2017\18 theres no fighter in the roster deserving a GOAT nomination.
we have new champions,2 weight categories messed up and nobody seem to be capable to keep a winning streak pos USADA.

UNDEFEATED 9-DEFENSE CHAMPION in his natural weight division.

14-2 in the division above his natural weight division, with both losses when he was a part-timer, one of them to the BW GOAT.

Fought bigger guys for the vaaaaaaaast majority of his career whether he was at 125 or 135.

    ABSOLUTE FUCKING BOSS

I'm surprised the Platinum Mike Perry trolls haven't hit this thread yet. In hibernation for the winter?

If Romero beats Bisping in convincing fashion, defends his belt and retires... he might be in the mix. Doesn't have many fights, but beat top competition and remains undefeated.

    ¿Si or no?
