I don't think he sounded naive, I think he was genuinely surprised. And why not? He and Cain fought their hearts out, left everything in the cage, JDS was basically staying on his feet through pure force of will for the last 4 rounds, why would anyone boo that?

Because they're idiots, they don't understand MMA, they don't have any conception of what it means to step into the cage, and they've never done anything in their lives as hard as what JDS and Cain get up and do every day. They didn't get a KO, they didn't get their pound of flesh, and they're pissed. It's fans like that that justify the critics who call MMA modern day gladiatorial games. Those fans would probably prefer lions and death. Fools. Might as well boo a guy who throws a shutout when his opponent throws a no hitter.

Booing a former defending HW champ especially someone as kind and humble like Dos Santos did not deserve that booing, Even Cain looked a bit annoyed with that booing
