Longish video but well worth the watch if you are an MCU fan. It references the stories of Troy and Oedipus towards the end.

I never really understood the line Cap said to Stark in Avengers II: AoU: "Every time someone tries to win a war before it starts, innocent people die. Every time." But this video makes it clearer.

Oedipus?

Dunno about that, but if I were Spiderman I'd totally bang my aunt marisa tomei.

Coming from Marvel, doesn't this sound more like a criticism of Bush, Desert Storm, Enduring Freedom, etc...?

I read in another yt vid that the quote is about a pre-emptive strike/pre-emptive war.

I'm pretty sure they just read @Dragonlordxxxxx's screenplay that he posts from time to time, tweak it a bit and passed it off as theirs.

I just started reading 'Civil War 2'. The basic story is about an Inhuman that has the ability to see the future.
The basic moral dilemma is, if you "know" the future, should you change it? Should you go after people before they actually commit crimes? Can you punish people for things they haven't done yet, or things they are thinking?
I don't know if that line from Cap caqme from there or not..

Hercules should have been in Civil War

So basically minority report?

There is nothing new under the sun. I think the Greeks hit all the possibly scenarios for interesting story telling. I am sure lots of different cultures did.
