He says to you over the phone that there's a guy that is going to DIE later on today via workplace accident.
You don't know him, he doesn't know you.
He works 50 miles away from where you are, which would take you one hour to get to. Another hour to get back home.
You call up his workplace and you tell them what's going on. They don't believe you. The guy laughs at your face and slams the phone. You call the authorities, they don't believe you and they tell you to stop calling or else they'll come arrest you for tying up the emergency line.
You have no choice but to drive over there and save him. The manner in which you save him, he will not have a clue. He and they will never believe you saved his life. Nobody ever will. And there's a small chance you will get arrested for trespassing on private property.
You will never get a thank you for this act.
Will you drive an hour to go save this guy, then drive another hour to get back home?
